Qualifications

Registered Nurse works under the general supervision of the Head Nurse. Provides professional care and coordinates care with other disciplines.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Writes initial nursing histories, assesses patient’s condition and develops individual care plans for patients.

Evaluates outcomes of patient care, consults with other specialists as required and adjusts nursing care plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient care.

Maintains patient documentation, to ensure accuracy of patient medical treatment.

Assists physician with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.

Performs other related duties.

Required Qualifications:
Must possess a current Virgin Islands license as a Registered Nurse (or ability to obtain endorsement license)

Graduate of an accredited A-A Degree in Nursing Program. BSN preferred.

Must have two years of professional nursing experience in the adult inpatient care setting is required.

Must possess and demonstrate a high degree of leadership, organizational ability, and communication skills.

Current CPR certification is required, ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

This position provides the overall management of physical therapy services. The Chief organizes and conducts medically prescribed physical therapy programs in the Hospital to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of a body part.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel, evaluates work performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Provides training and monitoring of work performed.

Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, performance improvement programs, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

Plans physical therapy program for each patient including exercise, massage, heat, water, light and electricity. Applies diagnostic and prognostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests.

Establishes policies for safety and ensures adherence to safety procedures in the use of physical therapy equipment and the handling of patients.

Performs other job related duties.

Required Qualifications:
Doctorate degree from accredited Physical Therapy Program.
Minimum of three years in Acute Care Setting.
PT License and registration in the USVI required or the ability to obtain license.
