Position Summary

The HVAC Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. They are responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance warranty and emergency repairs.

Position Responsibilities

  1. Installs, maintains and repairs ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
  2. Identifies maintenance risks on equipment.
  3. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  4. Cleans adjusts and repairs systems, and performs warranty services.
  5. Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  6. Provides technical direction and on-the-job training.
  7. Keeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  8. Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulatory Agencies
  9. Complies with service standards, work instructions and customers’ requirement


  1. High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
  2. 0-2 years experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
  3. Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
  4. Working knowledge of boiler systems.
  5. Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
  6. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  7. Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
  8. Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
  9. Ability to work in confined spaces.
