JFL is pleased to announce our 2024 Nurse of the Year!

Meet Catherine Glasgow, a Pediatric Clinical Nurse at #JFL and our 2024 Nurse of the Year! Catherine is a St. Croix Native/West Gyul who graduated from UVI’s Nursing Division in 2007 and has served the community ever since. She advocates for the pediatric population and is passionate about children’s health, fitness, and opportunities. She says, “There is no other profession that is more rewarding than being a pediatric health care provider. We meet cute kids, wear colorful scrubs, apply cartoon band-aids, cuddle with babies, and hand out plenty of lollipops. My job never ceases to humble me, which permeates through every aspect of my life, within the world of healthcare and outside.”

When asked what it means to be selected as Nurse of the Year, Catherine stated, “To be the nurse of the year is an honor, that I will wear proudly. It’s a selfless act of love and compassion, and about treating your patients and colleagues with respect, kindness, and dignity.” Her goals as a nurse are to continue positively impacting people’s lives and serve the community as best she can.

Outside of her passion, as a pediatric nurse, Catherine finds relaxation and mental clarity in shopping, traveling, relaxing on the beach, and spending time with family, friends, and pets. In the words of Catherine, “The USVI holds a special place in my heart, the people I care for ignite a passion in my soul, and there is nowhere else I’d rather be to make a difference for you, me, and all ah we!”
