STILT AWARD Criteria:

• Nurse inspires an environment that encourages his/her fellow coworkers not limited to clinical
• Nurse encourages an environment that allows the patient/family feel comfortable enough to value their plan of care, the environment, along with all its challenges
• Nurse that is an example of the hospital’s mission statement
• Nurse that inspires positive change
• Nurse that has left a lasting impression on the patient and/or family
• Nurse always willing to assist beyond “comfort zones”
• Nurse that encourages cultural norms to assist in the patient’s/family’s care and healing process

DAISY award CRITERIA:

• Motivates staff with a shared vision and enthusiasm to achieve better outcomes for themselves and for their patients
• Is a mentor to staff
• Accessible, available and responsive to the needs of others, encouraging critical thinking and problem-solving for individuals and with the context of teams
• Promotes and enhances the image of nursing within the organization, (particularly) the community and the profession
