JFL is proud to announce our 2025 Employee of the Year, Freddie Pimentel Jr., Director of the Patient Access Department! With 26 years of dedicated service, Freddie has been a cornerstone of our institution, ensuring every patient’s journey begins with accuracy and efficiency.

As part of Patient Access, Freddie and his team serve as the gateway to JFL, ensuring that every patient’s information is captured correctly and that they receive excellent customer service from the moment they walk through our doors. His dedication to setting a positive tone for the patient experience has made a lasting impact on our hospital and the community we serve.

Freddie’s commitment to excellence is backed by his educational background and certifications, including a degree from the Community College of the Air Force, a Six Sigma Green Belt certification, and certification in Coaching Diversity and Inclusion.

When asked what he enjoys most about working at JFL, Freddie’s answer was simple yet profound: “Helping others in their time of need.” His unwavering dedication to patient care and his ability to make a difference in people’s lives have earned him this well-deserved recognition.

Outside of work, Freddie finds joy in the ocean and boating. Just as he navigates the open waters, he has also skillfully navigated a career dedicated to service and excellence.

Reflecting on his journey at JFL, Freddie shared, “Over the years, I have had the pleasure of making a difference in several patients’ lives. Even when you may not know them personally, running into someone in public who remembers you and expresses their thanks is always a good feeling. It reminds me that I did something right.”
