FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

 OVERVIEW

At Juan F. Luis Hospital & Medical Center, we are committed to providing top-quality care without discrimination based on the patient’s financial status. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay, and a discounted/sliding fee schedule is available based on family size and income. Whether you have health insurance or not, our Patient Financial Services Department (PFS) and financial counselors are here to ensure you receive the care you need. 

 At JFL, we are aware that medical costs often occur when families least expect or can afford them. If you can’t make a payment or are having financial problems, a financial counselor will work with you to try to help you. 

Charity Care: 

Patients who meet certain criteria may be eligible for financial assistance through JFL’s Charity Care Program. This assistance includes reduced hospital charges or waived charges, as applicable. The program is overseen by a Financial Counselor who will guide patients/guardians through the application process.

*Please note a partial payment may be required depending on the type of service and level of financial assistance.

Interest-free Payment Plans:

At JFL, we offer interest-free payment plans to assist patients in paying their bills. Whether you need a short-term or long-term payment plan, we have flexible options to suit your needs. Our short-term payment plan is interest-free and requires all outstanding balances to be paid off within one year.
