ER Myth Busters: Myth #1

MYTH: “I should be treated the moment I walk into the ER.”

FACT: Emergency care prioritizes medical need, not arrival time. Through triage, we ensure that those requiring immediate help are treated first. This means a patient arriving later may be seen sooner if their condition is more critical.

When you come to the ER, we understand it’s because something doesn’t feel right, and that matters to us. Every patient is important, and every concern is taken seriously.

After check-in, a trained medical professional completes a quick evaluation called triage to understand how urgently each person needs care. Sometimes this means a patient who arrives later may be seen sooner if their condition is more critical.

We understand that waiting is never easy. If you do find yourself waiting, please know you are never forgotten.

Our commitment is simple: to care for every person safely, compassionately, and as quickly as possible.

💙 Thank you for trusting us to care for you and your loved ones.

Stay tuned as we continue our ER Myth Busters series to help make emergency care a little easier to understand.
